We did a quick scout and cache dash up to Vajello before the incoming weather made it any harder. We got lost, saw lots of lyrebirds, made some awesome fires and were treated to some impressive weather, including crazy winds and then snow as we descended early on the last morning. We left by torchlight at 0400 as Phil had to catch a flight on Tiger and I had an afternoon list at Cabrini. There are some awesome lines that need to be skied, including a sensational chute due west off Howitt itself which is an unimpeded 45 degrees all the way down to a nice run out in mountain ash some 350m below. It would take some special conditions to do it, but do it I must. I wish I'd never seen it!
